Does it really matter where it started Tommy? Nobody was bothered iabout silly little things like... when or where it started. Or about genres, music styles, dance styles or whether you were black, brown, white or purple. It was about the party, the 'come togethership', the love and the MUSIC. Take a chill pill Tommy son, dust off your baggies and flouro, put on some headphones and whack on the ''Spirit of 89'' Within half hour you won't care if you are Arthur or Martha. PEACE

  • @newinnsteamer ...if this is a documentary that claims to be a history of the music, then it kinda does matter what it documents as the beginning of the acid sound. I was an acid house dj in philadelphia in 88/89, and most of the records i was playing came from chicago - where house music itself was born, and then tweaked to create that acid sound. i'm for love and music and all that, but let's get the history right. no need to beat up up tommie for asking a legitimate question.

  • @audilab Yeah man, fair play to ya. Is this vid out yet?

  • @dedbult absolute bollox ,manchester had hacienda playing house tunes 3 years before london had even heard of house let alone acid

  • hate to say but it does matter where it came from - Studio 2000 - Senegal was where chicago developed from

  • @ssgroovy yeah yeah yeah. I was a dj here, there and everywhere. But wasn't house music doing it's thing in the Sn Fran Gay scene in the late 70's early 80's before it went to Chicago and given the ''House Music'' name. Proper Acid House music as we know it came out of the smoke in the late 80's. For the record Mr dj who exactly is beating up on poor old tommie??? He was hardly asking a question was he. Perhaps you need to dust off your headphones and get a pellet down your gregory too

  • I was listening to the house sound in 1976 and I wasn't even born yet lol Fuckin mad arguments goin on below me ere lol

  • One of the sergeants suggest we call the operation Alkali. Literally because it's pure intention was to neutralize!!! - Brilliant
