~Read me, please~
The products I reviewed were:
-Aveeno Nourish & Moisturize Shampoo
-Aveeno Nourish & Moisturize Conditioner
-Aveeno Nourish & Moisturize Leave-In Treatment

They are pretty good products, though I'm not too crazy about the leave-in treatment. So hopefully, my review will help you on your decision to buy the products or not. You can get free samples of the shampoo and conditioner at Aveeno.com
:-D

  • so you don't use sulfate free shampoos anymore? I'm thinking about using one of those. do you recommend any sulfate free shampoos for me. .

  • @peacexsandyxlove

Sure! My favorite is Aveda Damage Remedy. It helps my hair stay super soft during shampoo time ^_^

  • So yah....my hair's kinda weird. :P:P I love Aveeno's products when it comes to face(: but do u think trying out their hair stuff woul be good for me?? (or Aussie?) or do u have any other shampoo and conditioner suggestions? Thx in advance! :D

  • @Shoppingstar525

Sure, Aveeno has a wonderful hair brand :-) Since you said you have oily roots, you'll want to get Aveeno shampoo and conditioner specific for oily hair. Before you wash your hair, put some coconut oil on your dry ends, that'll do the trick. :-)

Another hair brand that is honestly good for any type of hair is Moroccan Oil shampoo and conditioner. :-) Hope this helps :-)

  • I'm not sure Aveeno is for black hair. I would not use Aveeno on my hair!

  • @surgedeb

It's actually a pretty decent product. I've used many products not specifically designed for black hair, and they have worked wonders. :-)

  • @windada you rock, thanks for the help!! :D:D

  • I'm Indian and I have naturally black hair that's really really thick. And it's gotten frizzier than it was...when I was little. :P and I think I have oily roots, but sometimes on my scalp-little flakes, just a few, tend to come and stay till I wash my hair. And my ends r not uber dry to the point where they break off, but I guess they could use a bit more moisturize.

  • I started using Aveeno Nourish and Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner approximately 3 weeks ago, on my chemical-free black hair and I love it. The shampoo did not strip my hair..my hair was soft and felt like I had used conditioner I was and still is surprised by the results...I love this stuff...

  • @windada - I totally agree with you!! @Surgedeb, most people don't realize that hair products are made for two hair types "Curly and Straight" basically. SO, it doesn't matter if you are black or white, just matters your hair texture.

If you have textured hair, you want MOISTURE, if you have straight hair, you want oil strippers.....as she says in this video.

  • You = HAWT

  • @surgedeb err... I don't think mainstream hair products discriminate against hair types....Aveeno is a natural brand, so if anything it's better than the other brands that target black consumers, e.g dark and lovely, which tends to be extremely drying to natural black and relaxed hair.
