IN 1986 NBC took away the "Proud N" and made a new peacock (the one we are familar with today) and after this was made the new peacock still holds up to this day. Suprised?

I was born about 4 months (January 1986) before NBC unveiled the then-new NBC logo.

This was my favorite NBC theme song from the '80s, especially the 1986-1987 season! It just got me off my seat dancing when it came on every time! It has that gospel-y sound meets kinetic Michael Jackson groove to it! Thanks to anyone who finally found this commercial! Very catchy and hooky theme! Michael would be moonwalking and spinning in circles to this song!

If memory serves me, the current logo wasn't used full time until January 1987
