  • smart is very sexy on a man. except bill gates. he cannot pull off sexy nerd AT ALL! i love his stuff though, NO HOMO!

  • @Kinetical100 (continued) ability to fixate on one particular subject or problem for quite as much time as he can which impacts the rate at which I can learn something.

Daniel is extremely lucky. He is certainly autistic, and also suffers from epilepsy, both of which are usually extremely crippling. In my case, I don't have epilepsy, but my Asperger's component does make it difficult for me in social situations.

  • @Kinetical100 I have Asperger's and although I'm nowhere near Daniel's abilities, I can certainly identify with/understand what he does in his mental processes, as I do many similar things in my own mind. For example, like Daniel, I'm also synesthetic and I'm able to use this to my advantage when remembering words, names, locations, and music, and like Daniel, I am very good with foreign languages. However, I'm not as severe as Daniel is either on the autism spectrum, therefore, I lack the

  • he would of aced my french class in hi school

  • @livedandletdie Smart and intelligence are two different things. Picking up on things is a part of using methods (which can determine effectiveness). So, in essence in the terms of comparing gaining knowledge and being smart, you are right.

  • Do people with aspergers syndrome usually learn faster/better than non-aspergers?

  • Wow a week? That is incredible he is like a super human. The human brain is evolving. Stop letting the people on welfare breed! We must extract the sperm from all idiot savants and spread it around the worldddddd!!!!

  • Just because you can recite Pi to the 22514th place doesn't mean you're smart. Just because you can learn a whole new language in 7 days doesn't either. Sure I can't do them. But I know other stuff and learn at 8 times a normals learning speed. Sure my Social skills are lacking and I ignore most peoples claims for intelligence. Sure people learn more and more the more advanced the society gets but still are we using the same learning system.

    But that is another story.

  • @chocolatedonut31 It's probably likely that mental progression is the next step in evolution. As now 1/10000 is born with asperger syndrome which is the minor Savant.

And specializing ones brain for certain tasks will greatly cause a mental progression.

But sure it's getting more and more attention among psychiatrics that Asperger and similar forms of autism is on the rise. And hopefully people will have better learning capabilities some few years ahead in the future.
