Pokemon G/S/C Champion Lance/Red Battle - Mario Paint

This was a request from Bloodrain696.

To be honest, I'm kind of glad it was requested. I wanted to do this song after doing my battle theme from the same game, but it's already been done by other Paint composers so I needed an excuse.

CamStudio leaves a little bit of lag- about 25-40 tempo's worth in each video. Because of that, I set the tempo of each part up to compensate this time and I think it worked okay.

This is the theme that plays when you fight Lance (and later, Red,) in Pokemon Gold and Silver versions. The beginning is an amazing throwback to the original games, where both of the characters earned their fame, and then it quickly bursts out into its own theme. It was one of those few songs that you'd hear in the crappy speakers of your old Game Boy Color and it would actually sound cooler than it would if a whole orchestra came to your house to play it.

This is also probably the first song I've ever done the entire thing of. (Okay, so I cut off like one line at the end for dramatic effect.) I'm not trying to say I worked harder on this one than on any other- actually, it's just a really short song. It may be awesome, but it's also repetitive.

Sadly, I just beat Lance in Shiny Gold and this song didn't play. Plus, I was forced to restart my game. I guess you can't win everything.
