Root Beer is American natto (なっとう 納豆)

While packing and cleaning I decided to throw away/recycle a bunch of metal I'd saved up, since you can't throw it away with regular trash (gomi).

And I remembered that almost every Japanese I know HATES root beer.

yeah - the black licorice is another taste Kryptonite - but the red licorice seems to be fine.

And I found monster size cans of Mountain Dew in a JR station vending machine only a few minutes from my house. They have the normal size cans too, but when both cost 120 yen, of course I get the huge one every time lol!

I was sad when it got banned from supermarkets in the UK... so what if a couple of kids go high on caffeine : )

M Dew is pretty easy to get here actually... It's in many vending machines, but I never see it in the stores

haha, im japanese but i like root beer after several tries. At first I hate it as well but soon after I kinda get used to it. But Natto I am still hating it, so tasteless.

lol I've had natto here in the states... and I can't say I hate it... but I have heard it's WAAY better in Japan than here. I also heard freezing it really ruins the quality.

Root beer Varies. A&W is pretty soft and creamy. Barqs tends to have more of that kind of licorice flavor.
