@LordZontar Correct. The 89 Joker was based off the silver age comic joker who was a mob member who became insane by falling into toxic waist. Nolons Joker was based off Frank Miller and Brian Azzarello. A phychopathic, schizophrenic man with zero empathy for anyone or himself. His goal was not money or power but anarchy and tearing down established order either good or bad. This clip sums up what hes a about.

I love how this scene proves Alfred's point about some men want to watch the world burn and that they can't be bribed, bullied, or negotiated with. All that money could make any one happy but Joker just burns it up without a care in the world.

Lol u guys are arguing about gas lol
Nicholson's Joker was just a crazy mobster with hairbrained schemes. Ledger's Joker was a force of nature unto himself. Where Nicholson's Joker needs elaborate gimmicks like poisoning Gotham's cosmetic products with Smilex, Ledger's Joker turns Gotham upside-down just with a few cans of gasoline and some dynamite.

Gasoline is cheap compared to other fluids in terms of price per volume. Think about how much a gallon of Starbucks coffee would cost if a small cup is around 2 dollars. Yet no one complains about Starbucks. It only seems expensive because we consume a lot of it.
