The only bout I have for you from Friday, July 24th is the final match of Day 13.

It's a good match up between the co-leaders - yokozuna Hakuho taking on ozeki Kotooshu, who both came into today with 11-1 records.

I should have decent coverage of Sunday - the final day - and I hope to have a few matches from Saturday as well.

Enjoy!
-Jason

PS - I'll look around my subscriptions and find the Asa v Harumafuji match from this day and post a link below when I have time...

  • Notice Asashoryu left the moment that hakuho won? (5:24)

  • yeah - that's pretty standard, but obviously Asa has to pump himself up for his final day match with Hakuho.

  • Gotta love good sumo!

Great to see you support hakuho when he fights with skill Jason.

    Always enjoy your commentary!

  • Btw sometimes I wonder if Hadbaatar avraga wrestled sumo. He'd display great strength. Imagine his "duuguurdeh" in sumo.

  • Indeed, if he hadn't that serious injury of pelvis he would surely have more than 6 championship. He was one of the most clear witted, calculating wrestlers in history. His wrestling style was compared to chess playing. Moreover his silver medal in Mexico has interesting history. One of the greatest wrestlers

  • FYI Hakuho's father Mr.Monkhbat was top (yokozuna) Avraga during 70's and 80's in Mongolian wrestling Boh. Avraga means the mighty or great.

  • Nothing unusual about that.

  • this is Mongolia´s Wrestling
