Mumble vs. TS2, Ventrilo - Transmission Delay (Latency)

This video shows you that with Mumble you have nearly real-time voice transmission, not like TS2 or Ventrilo, which need at least 1 sec.

Mumble is a very high quality VOIP-Tool with awesome sound quality, build-in noise and echo reduction (Speex codec at its best) and ultra low latency. Also in lots of games there is a 3D positional audio feature, to see it in game just watch the PR video response. More games are added build for build. ;)

long: latency difference between germany (ca. 20ms) and UK (ca. 40ms) is .... 20ms!!! and you will NOT notice it at all.

what you WILL notice though isssss -> that fuckin half a second/full second delay.

wow wow wow wow... WAIT JUST A FREAKIN MINUTE!!!! I defiantly saw that Mumble was a HELL of a lot better... but did you say it was FREE?!?!?!?!!? That was the reason I used Skype! Does this mean no more super late "LEFT LEFT YOU STUPID IDIOTS!!! YOUR IN THE FUCKING FIRE" echoing around the raid AFTER my off tank and 3 of my DPS are dead??? ( mah guild fucking sucks but I love um' :D)

@SturFriedBrains of course its free. its open source. just google "sourceforge mumble" and download. getting a server is kinda iffy because mmble is not as popular BUT there are shit tons of public servers out there. just hop onto one of those and you will be fine. :)
