They are a brand of couplers that disconnect with a magnet embeded under the tracks....... its either a normal magnet or an electro-magnet (you can turn it on and off)

Do the knuckle couplers disconnect themselves somehow??? I always thought they did...

@ic6071 that ADM grain car! ADM is scabs, they use non union and non local construction and buliding trades. thye use illegal immigrants and pay low wages no benifits and they only hire temps for pennys break there backs.

I'm not sure, I do know they are very old...our club had them donated.

At 4:47, how did you warp you rails like that? I would like to know, I wish to do that also on my trains.

Thanks! I think that it is just from the track being there for years, and expanding/contracting with temperature change. In the winter fairly chilly, while in the summer, it is fairly warm. It also could have something to do with humidity.
