California Regional Center's shocking neglect and callous disregard towards a severely-autistic person with self-injurious behavior. Mother highlights some of the fight to get her autistic son help. Shows how cruel and ruthless some of these state employees can be when your child is suffering and how you must fight back.

  • You are a nigger. You need to kill your autistic child.

  • @WikiLulzy Wow. I have no words to even describe how mentally ill you must be to even say something like this.

  • I am just wondering if the government has the resoruces available to provide a 1:1 aide

  • @smsorour If the government can fund ANOTHER pointless war, they damn well provide one to one for an autistic citizen.

  • im sorry for you and your son, but it sounds like you have relied way too much on the government when its really not their job to take care of your son... its your job. if you just look at everything the government gets its hands into they screw it up... so don't use them. plus their job is to protect our liberties, not watch us 24hrs a day... no offense to you or your son but this is a republic not a socialist, communist, nation.. democracy is not even written in the constitution.. anywhere..

  • @wrb0018 LOOK, I have done more than ANY government official when it comes to handling my son. The fact is: government agencies get billions to HELP disabled, hence what kind of FOOL would I be to NOT go after the help for my son, when clearly the amount of help needed, is beyond what average middle class family like us can afford. Yes, I get mad at GOV. but I'm also grateful we live in USA, where programs exist, even if I have to fight like hell for everything we need.

  • Thanks for sharing this. We need more awareness, advocacy and support for these kids. If we don't offer these services do we expect these kids to be susceptible to accidents or even death? Its terrible we have to live in such a society that does not give a damn about the disabled community. Let their voices be heard and fight for their rights.

  • @jeniejackson73 They are not supposed to allow anyone at that level of care alone. When they are asleep, you can go in the other room but there needs to be supervision in case they wake up. I am so sorry for these ignorant people picking on you...I have an autistic son, and I do know what its like. They are horrible people, and deserve to learn what its like to deal with this kind of pain...to love someone who is so difficult to care for and to find no one decent to help you...

  • HEY I AM AN AUTISTIC AND BIG GOVERNMENT LETS JUST SAY F&%@ YOU! THANK YOU FOR STICKING UP FOR YOUR SON YOU ARE A REAL GOOD MOM.

  • you should really read 'A Real Boy' by Christopher Stevens with Nicola Stevens. Parents of an autistic boy, about the struggles as parent but also the absolute joy they get from their son despite all the meltdowns etc. I just finished reading it.. it's amazing.

  • I have two children with autism and I have left my job so that I can advocate for them. If you have documents then sue that group home. Your problem seems to be more with the group home he was placed in. Also make a compliant with CCL. The thirty day notice is a good thing for you. It shows that they could not manage him. That group failed to do thier job.

  • Thank you for bringing your battle to the web, I am sure your advocacy will make a difference, keep up the great work.
