This song reaches the depths of my heart, brings memories of my own father. The lyrics are so true, and June's singing expresses them so well. I love her singing, listen to it for hours.
Would love to see her perform live. Please come to the eastern cost someday - your concerts are all out west.

Nice to have my Dad back home and out of the geriatric ward... he can dream again : )

Why did I come across this song so late? Why isn't this played on radio? Why isn't Bill Caddock given at least an OBE for writing it? Doesn't June Tabor deserve recognition for all the beautiful songs she has sung for us?

Me dad makes a lot of sense when his advice is laid next to this song...
Very wise are some Dads!!!
Nothing will spoil the beauty of a voice and song such as this...time is certainly spent wisely when listening to this!!!

I learned all the chords and words ... but I can't get through it ... it evokes such memories of my dad that I choke every time I try to attempt it.

Sublime my tears fell like soft morning rain
In a materialistic world never so deeply drenched in every man's mind-young or old; man or woman, educated or uneducated,
this song tells how beautiful it still is to hold onto one's pure dream.
Her low dark voice yet so beautiful moved me to cry- a man of hard rock who seldom cries.
Thank you for your posting. Your kind heart will be appreciated by us all who viewed your video. Wish I could make a video myself like you do. Many thanks.
