Video shows a monster buck leaping over a fence during a tornado or tornado warning. This buck had at least a ten tine rack. During the filming tornado sirens began to blast and the blue jays and other birds sounded alarmed.

The video was made early in the season. By fall the buck would be much heavier, when he adds his seasonal weight. His large antlers show that he would be large. Ten points is a trophy buck.

This is a rare, possibly unique view. It shows a wild, huge buck making a long leap. Few if any films show such a large buck, or any animal that large, making such leaps. The buck likely weighted around 150-200 pounds. Video may also show animal behavior during a tornado, or weather event.

The big buck ran toward a fence of about 5-6 feet in hight (with barb wire at the top) and without breaking his stride leaped over it. He likely made a leap of 20 feet or more in length and was a large buck. The video shows his huge hoofs kicking up dirt in the plowed field as he runs.

The buck was in with does and other large bucks. All the bucks had good racks.

Havent found out yet whether there was a tornado in the area.

The deer were probably in rut with bucks and doe together.

** Some of the world's largest bucks live in Ohio. Some of its world champion bucks have Boone and Crockett scores of over 300 points. Ohio's Beatty Buck may be the (or among the) largest ever taken by a hunter. That title of the largest whitetail, ever, in the record books belongs to the "Missouri Monarch," a 333-7/8 buck found dead on the side of a road in 1982 near St. Louis. In second place is the legendary "Hole in the Horn," found dead in Ohio in 1940, however, many whitetail experts think that it is actually the largest set of whitetail deer antlers in history. It may be the most famous whitetail known.

The male white-tailed deer, or buck (Odocoileus virginianus - normally called the whitetail), can weigh up to around 500 pounds http://64.233.169.104/search?q=cache:7cLce5HsdasJ:espn.go.com/outdoors/huntin...
and the female up to 175 pounds. Males of one year or older have antlers. Young bucks with very small antlers are called button bucks. When the antlers begin to grow in the late spring, they are covered with a very vascular tissue known as velvet or moss. This drops off later. The Boone & Crockett scoring system is used to rate antlers or racks. Bucks shed their antlers at the end of breeding season (rut). Some female deer also have antlers. The piebald or white deer, a deer having more white than normal but not an albino, is very rare.

Deer have an amazing assortment of communicative signs. Approximately 100 different vocalizations have been recorded, such as tending grunts, dominant grunts, bleats, and many others. They make extensive use of sign language. The whitetail is found throughout most of the U.S., southern Canada, Central America, and in the northern portions of South America. It is a generalist, which can adapt to a wide variety of habitats, including woodland, open savanna, and even sage areas.

  • definitely not in the rut.. haha and yeah the camera guy definitely got busted.. the video description is a huge bag of hot air...

  • @forsee62 It wasn't time for the rut. In a month or so (when the rut started), the buck would fill out - put on weight, have a swollen neck, etc.

  • I think they were all good deer

  • @buckman1967 Thanks, they were. When the rut starts, they will be really large.

  • lol if this was the rut the bucks wouldnt have velvet or reddish colored coats and their necks would be more "swollen" nice video though

  • Bucks do not stay together during the rut and theres no velvet on their antlers either

  • MISLEADING TITLE IS MISLEADING. that deer is jumping a FENCE, not a tornado.

  • @Swiftyslow2 thats how they look in sc until about september then they lose the velvet and begin to gain weight. around here the heat index on average is a 110 in the summer. so they dont have 1in to 1.5inch long hair to make them look bigger. in december they only have about a quarter of an inch of hair lenght. its only in the 30s at night in the middle of winter. now whether this video is from sc or not i dont know but they look like the deer we have around here. + they get bigger in the rut

  • @IrenaScott no shit. dude i see all of these vids sayin 'huge buck', 'monster buck' ya what a load. but still cool vid nd no offense.

  • the tornado was right in front of you it is a Tornado Fence duh!!

  • wheres to tornado??

  • the deer did a superman-seat grab while jumping

  • scrony looking thing come up hear to maine if you want a real deer

  • @IrenaScott yea the rut doesnt come in till november, or if your in alabama january idk when it is in texas but everywhere else it is around the second week of November. this looks like it was prolly around august since the antlers were pretty much grown and still had velvet. they lose their velvet around the beginning of september...the second week of november is usually the peak of the rut though. there is some pre-rut activity in october (scraps). but the rut doesnt crank up till november

  • Atleast you weren't huntung them and actually enjoying the view or nature
