He was a severely disturbed person mostly a grave robber, there are soldiers who collect similar trophies during war but are they psychopaths? He scored a low IQ had no classic psychopathic traits like glib narcissism or superficial charm. One classic psychopathic trait he did have was the lack of an ability to stop his crimes even when he knew he was doing wrong. He was definitely a schizophrenic, a grave robber, a trophy collector and murderer who craved the love of his mother.
