What, so now every country has to accept illegal immigrants? Look, if they happen to be Einsteins and came bringing with them something valuable, (ie. knowledge, wealth), I'd say we should open our doors to them. Otherwise, what benefit does it bring us but potential social problems? I don't agree with the way Thai soldiers treated the Rohingas, beating them up was completely unnecessary. Giving them medical attention is good, but send them packing elsewhere after that. It brings us no value.

Lets face it- in the end no country, ASEAN or not, wants to take on the burden of another country. Looking at the way pussycat UN is behaving nowadays is a good example. Every member nation is reluctant to take action against rouge terroist states like N Korea cuz no one wanna pay the bill of financing such an acion. The UN of today reminds me more n more like the League of Nations in pre-WWII.
