How does the coke-bottle work?
-
he's not breathing any air at depth so he's not getting the residual nitrogen stuck in his system.
-
why does he not get the bends!?
-
this summer he is going to try to go to 250 meters

what with the bottle ? just curious

i may be totally wrong but from what i read, he breathes some air into the bottle at the start of the dive when it's less tiring for him and he uses that air to decompress further down...
i may be wrong, so take it with a grain of salt :)

thanks for the answer and it sounds reasonable.
I think it is an amazing thing he pulls of. What I cannot understand is how his eardrums handles the pressure. I know they use a special manoeuvre. But still it must be hard to match the surrounding pressure ?

well up to certain depths i imagine decompressing works fine, but i guess further down where the pressures are much larger that it doesn't really work that well, if at all... i've heard that most of these guys have sort of ruptured their drums from diving that much that often, but that doesn't really make sense to me since they'd go deaf, no?
can't really answer that one... :)

he still had to ascend slowly and pause at a depth for a bit to get used to the change in pressure i think...
