Wow! Just stumbled across this, I was in the LSSO playing this in 1999. I didn't know anyone had recorded it, let alone put it on YouTube. I can just make myself out, front desk violas, but no the principal!

@wlegge This was recorded by a friend of mine called Jim Monk who's daughter was in the orchestra. I've also uploaded parts of Tchaik 6 from the same concert and also the complete Tchaik 6 from the Classic Fm De Mont concert in the same year.

Could somebody please tell me why somebody in my year got really angry at me todday for suggesting that this piece is called march of the montagues, with him insisting it was called dance of the knights. Having lookied them both up, i'm sure that they're both exactly the same.

This is from Prokofiev's ballet music Romeo and Juliet. It's called Montagues and Capulets but it also has the alternative name of Dance of the Knights. It certainly isn't March of the Montagues.
