To be honest I didn't even compare him to Mika when i first heard him because I think they sound nothing alike. I prefer Sliimy to Mika, just because I prefer how soft his voice is.

I don't think he's trying to be Mika; Sliimy and Mika's voices are very different. Obviously I'm a bigger fan of Mika but I love Sliimy too (: he's not trying to be him, just because he's got curly hair and sings a little higher than 'normal' doesn't mean he's copying lol.
