Progress on muscle-ups is coming along nicely. Despite my cramped setup where I have to start off from my knees, I can now do about 5 unbroken Muscle-ups in a row.

Handstands in general are also coming along. I'm still struggling to keep my legs straight, but there are moments when I feel very comfortably balanced. In these moments, I attempt a freestanding HSPU, but fail miserably.

  • As a suggestion, if your goal is to work on your handstand pushups, you could try kicking up into handstand against the wall. That way you can practice your handstand pushups and not worry about the balancing part of it. You can always work on your balance after you've built up your strenth...

  • Thanks for the comment, idoru. My goal here is to balance well enough in a handstand to do a free-stand handstand pushup. I do work on hspu's against the wall as well.

  • @ToxicAvenger42 you should practise walking on your hands to gain muscle memory while being upside down even climbing the stairs will help with weight shifting and such

  • Hmm, you balancing would be better if you tightened your stomach and straightened your les, aiming to be in a hollow shape. But then again, you have to be balanced to get into the hollow shape. It's an edless cycle of doom. Try going against a wall, or even better, a couch so only your shoulders ae supported.

  • when you walk on your hands to balance your learning bad habbits that will make more advanced shit much harder 2 do

  • Thats good man loved it reminds me of me back in the day keep practicing and maybe you'll be better than me someday! search ryanconditioning to see me.

  • The M-ups look great.

Something that helped me on handstands though, try to put your legs together and keep tight. If your legs aren't stiff the flop all over the place and make it more difficult to balance. Also it looks better. =]

  • Great stuff man...please see my vids, I'm working on a lot of the same stuff as you...your handstands are much better than mine though.

  • your doing well here m8. Keep going.
