Ernesto Tomasini as Sebastian Venable, the projectionist of a small cinema in Sicily (Cinema Paradiso), who in his little projection room re-enacts sequencs from his favourite movies as well as some behind the scenes characters (like in this case) to draw a history of the representation of gay people in American cinema. Here, singing "Make Believe" from the musical Show Boat by Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II, he paints a parody of Rock Hudson's "lavender marriage".
"The Veiled Screen: A Secret History of Hollywood!", with and by Ernesto Tomasini, directed by Amit Lahav, sets and costumes by Simon Kenny, music by Londonarrangements.com. Drill Hall, London 2005 WORKSHOP
