Have had a nasty bedridden cold for the last 3 days but will that stop me from attending a USPSA match? Hell no! Was going to shoot Limited (since I am shooting Limited in Area 6 in 2 weeks) but decided that my body wouldn't be able to take the needed front sight focus...thus time to cheat with open! :)

Thanks to John from SJCguns.com for hooking me up with the smaller mag release button. You see? No weird mag drops! For the first 2 stages I had this weird paranoid feeling that I would inadvertently drop a mag, causing me to readjust after 1 reload...after that it was smooth sailing.

Lost mucho seconds on the 3rd stage...brain fart. But overall had a lot of fun. Want to give a shout out to the Lea County Action Shooters at Hobbs, NM for great matches and great people. I think one of my first (if not the first) USPSA match was with you guys...do you guys remember the Sig P226 "sight adjustment" episode? I gotta upload that video sometime! Thanks for everything!

  • Very Nice ...

What trigger mechanism do you use ?

  • @caiojosino - The gun was made by John of SJC Customs so the success of the trigger mechanism depends on various factors. The trigger is seriously the best Glock trigger I have ever used. It measures around 2.5lbs but feels more like lesser than 2lbs to me.

  • Good shooting.

Since I only shoot iron sights, I had a question related to red dots on pistols and how that related to focal plane. When shooting a rifle with a red dot, you always maintain a target focal plane. Is that the same with pistol, or do you still try to focus on the sight plane with the target fuzzy like irons when breaking the shot?

  • As opposed to iron sights, you focus on the target itself (plus the red dot). I gotta admit that when I'm shooting primarily either iron sights or open sights, when I switch divisions I have to readjust my eyes to either make the target fuzzy/not fuzzy.

  • Funny comment. Liked how you timed it with the audio.

  • Haha, there was an expletive in there...but it was wonderfully edited out by technology! :) I kept telling myself to shoot that target first as I ran up to the wall during my rehearsal...then when the buzzer sounded I totally forgot!
