Programming GP300 via DOS based RSS and serial port. These radios were manufactured in mid 90's and remain to be yesterday's products, however, their performance is unparallel. People still have them in used or refurbished condition. There are VHF and UHF versions of them. This particular one is in majority - UHF.

  • i have a Motorola saber 3 i was wondering if this would work for it are you using dos box ?? on xp

or is that a old dos pc .....thanks for the video

  • @p99qa40 I don't have this computer anymore. It got serial port and Windows XP. Yes, I used DOS command prompt. Don't know anything about Moto Saber 3. Sorry.

  • I have a GP300 UHF with LCD screen and keypad, I also have a "dummy" battery programmer like in the video from ebay.

I downloaded the software from hampedia website. Using a Pentium 4 computer, I get "Error Number 21, Radio not supported" message. Any ideas ???

    Thank you

  • @humaxf1 Sounds like compatibility issue. GP300 with LCD are European models while this software would only program U.S. models. Consult a dealer.

  • I have a serial port on my laptop...

    what software/hardware do I need?

  • @matthewsa4 Get the programming cable as shown in the video and download the software from hampedia.net/motorola/gp300.php
