While in India on business an associate and I were privileged to have a day trip to Doddabetta, the highest point in Southern India. This area is better known as "Ooty" which is the shortened name of the nearby city and general district. Along the way are villages built on the sides of the hills and tea estates. Our driver took us to the Gov't Botannical Gardens and a lunch at the Holiday Inn in Ooty. Then we went on to the top.
It is really interesting to see the addition of a very sweet bird at around 9:02-9:19. If you've travelled on rt66, you must have had this change in consciousness of adjusting to a new landscape and the air, the accent & nature in a whole different setting. I thought rt 66 was not even part of U.S. It was quite a shock to see the vast difference between the coasts.
