@mikeandmike That's often called overtone singing or tuvan throat singing. Bobby did that in a concert in Montreal and a few other times.

Your voice is made of several notes, When you sing its possible peel the harmonics from each note into their corresponding sounds. Monks do this and some choir groups learn it. Its not common knowledge.

i havent seen any tibetan monks do it, but try a search for "throat singing" here on youyube ;)

tibetan monks sing in a way that they produce choral overtones and actually sing more than one note.
