I know this is an old post, but I really disagree. Why does everything have to be traditional grass? Why can't people do their own thing without being ridiculed?
And I also find your comment about "taking lessons" comical. This group is one of the most awarded acoustic groups ever put together. They don't take lesson from anyone.
I respect your opinion, but just because what they play isn't your idea of what bluegrass is, doesn't mean its not good or that they should start "taking lessons."
One reason this is so good is beacuse it is solid 'grass. The stuf they are doing now isn't Bluegrass. I wish they would take some lessons from the big boys like Doyle Lawson and "dance with the one that brought 'em"
Guh, this is amazing. Mountain Heart is my very favorite bluegrass band, but, unfortunately, I don't get to see them live very often. Thank you for sharing this!!
