The first of a series about shapes in Photoshop. In this tutorial, we make a Stop Sign on a Shape Layer, including changing text into Paths to spell the word Stop.

  • I have no words to describe it, beacuse you showed me that I can make shapes as I do in Illustrator. I was sad because I used to think: "Photoshop is so fantastic but I can explore the vector shapes as you can in Illustrator."

Five stars for you, thumbs up and subscribed!!!

Greetings from a brazilian graphic designer!!

  • Great tutorial! Having trouble excluding though on my PC. I created the second octagon as described which displays a large red one with the path of a slightly smaller one inside. When I click exclude overlapping shape areas (PS CS5), the entire thing stays red. No excluding appears to happen. Any ideas?
