I remember one of my first days as PA and I was in a remote lockup in the GVRD watershed in Vancouver.
No radio contact.
No cel coverage.
No bear spray.
Every 8 hours a dark 15 Passenger van would speed by and whip a plate of cold food to the side of the road I was standing on.
When it rained - which was VERY often, it poured.
Man those days SUCKED BALLS.

Young Dave....I hope you make it back from your Hidden Valley Pilgrimage..this bought back some dark memories for me as well. I'm flippin' the bird at the whole concept of "Lock-up".
