The gov's actions keep giving examples of them rigging the game. Banks suck? Too bad, we're not going to let you short them. Remember that? wtf was that? I mean, really, wtf? "Free market?" Where?
And let's not forget the unAmerican Pattern Daytrader rule which I bet most people have never even heard of. It's supposed to help poor people, but it hurts them by slowing down their learning, FORCING them to hold, and encourages them to go all-in. Seen a lot of people get hurt by that.

Long term maybe right for small traders but day trading could work well if you have a good working backtest.
The world is not flat, nor are stocks during a trading day... if you pick the right ones.

Well actually I make a bit of money investing, Wait till some sector/country has collapsed i.e. war, plague etc. but the fundamentals are still strong, average down. If it goes back up get your initial out.

u r 100% right !!!!!!!!! i think any "system" or rules based ideas where the is a pre-defined and rules basedplan u could trade anything with a pulse!!! the ? re "stocks" is WHY ? horrible tax treatment , risk of trading halts, the fact that they all have bad books and are smoke and mirrors etc makes me ask WHY not trade OIL, or the Euro or S&P minis etc where they are liquid and better in everyway ?

o it will fill up ... guy doing the webpag wife having twins so i cant get him to do much ... it will have ALL my market calls and then we can do a tale of tape with ALL of Wallstreet .... when GS was stealing (never earned a dollar that didnt rip off) my work was great but their ... now NO ONE has my track record and that dont count "risk adjusted"

Don't you think gold is a bullshit safe haven trade right now plus inflation haedge story promoted by speculators? We're at almost $1,000 an ouce. I think that trade is tired and we are in a bubble for gold and treasuries. To me, equities are the value right now, at least for the longer-term. Do you plan to stay long gold? I think eventually we will have inflation and have to raise rates, but that won't be for a long time, and the inflation expectation is already in gold, and then some.
