During the summer I was able to use an anamorphic adapter with the DVX100A. This is some of the footage.

Did you play it on a home wide screen tv?

nice adapter...I see the riverwalk and some familiar haunts. A diy adapter? Where'd you source the lens?

yeah, but it's basically the same thing. If you do it in post, you loose less resolution.

You could of use your adapter, and switch to letterbox on your dvx 100a at the same time to get a 2.33:1 cinescope look without cropping in post. That's if you didn't know though, just a tip....

where cab you buy these isnt it easier to crop to get a true 2.35:1 aspect ratio?

I used the anamorphic adapter to get a 16:9 ratio and then cropped to 2.35:1 in post.
