These are beautiful, sweet-expressioned dogs. Although, I have a question. They are supposedly the least intelligent breed. Do you support that statement having owned one? Was your afghan easily trained? I can't get over that sweet face on that high statured body. :). It makes a great look.

@TheBlondebabe19
They are very intelligent, so that makes them hard to train. You have to make them think it is their idea. They are so what like a cat.

Can you tell me if you keep his coat wrapped/banded during his show career (when he is outside and such?) I'm looking for a show dog - but it will also be a companian....and I'd like to get more info on proper coat care. (I used to work on poodle coats), but they are not the same. Thanks!

yes, I keep him banded and wrapped still just because it is easier. There is a great article on grooming on afghansofgrandeur website go to "how to" and then grooming. Who are you getting your show dog from?
