Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich said statements he made on secret FBI wiretap tapes were taken out of context by prosecutors and he might try to call senators and a top White House official as witnesses at his racketeering and fraud trial. (Sept 10)

  • Doesn't anyone else find it strange that the defendant is the one who wants people to see all the evidence? It makes me think that perhaps the fed doesn't have a very good case against him. Hell; he could be innocent.

I'm going to wait until I see all the evidence before I judge.

  • Politicians are the shit - we are the shovel I am afraid.

  • I would love to be a juror. I would probably be inclined to let the guy get on with his shattered life. I'm realistic enough to know these things have been going on at least since the 70's. I won't forget how the guy single handedly raised our state min wage from one of the lowest to one of the nation's highest. Not at all a popular decision among his financial supporters. I sure don't like him, or trust him any less than the rest. But to hang him, in all fairness, I'd have to hang em all.

  • man they need to release those tapes the SECOND the trial is over

  • He is obviously guilty, just look at that bad hair. There's no need to release any evidence. I believe a man is guilty before proven innocent when his hair looks like that. Every man is created equal, except when he has bad hair. Let's hope they don't release the tapes, it would only keep people from obsessing about his bad hairstyle.

  • This man..... I don't know how he gets elected! Certainly in my area of Illinois noone can stand him. And it was a vast majority of us down here in Central and South Illinois who didn't approve of him or his work.... Chicago is stupid for electing certain people. I swear. I can't help but feel the whole state pays for whatever Chicago wants. Example: Rod R. Blagojevich!

  • insane

  • So, can ANYONE find the soundbyte where it is saying "f'n golden," and all the other stuff? Cuz, seriously, I just spent two hours looking for it. In print, that's easy, I need the audio.
