Aled now talks to our next featured composer John Rutter, who is known as one of the world's most successful composers of sacred music.. He tells Aled, about how the church and the hymns he heard as a young boy in school assemblies, have had a profound effect on his music. Our Rutter hymn for this programme is sung by the University Of Aberdeen Chapel Choir, and its, "The Lord Bless You And Keep You". Our next composer is Sir Arthur Sullivan, best known for his operettas, but he also wrote a large number of hymns, one of which is sung now by The King Singers, "The Long Day Closes".
This is produced solely to promote Aled and his music.
