Skylab - Steve Dahl & Teenage Radiation - 1979

Another classic Steve Dahl parody song; the original is "Shattered" by the Rolling Stones. Steve wrote this parody in 1979 when NASA's Skylab space station was re-entering the atmosphere and many were unsure of where it would land:

Oddly enough for Steve Skylab crashed on July 11th of 1979, one day before the infamous Disco Demolition, where of course the Disco fad crashed as well!

@tutty449 You forgot the Babies , I was there , my first concert ! We tripped on some white microdot and just rocked out man that was wild,M-80's goin' off all over. The Babies kinda sucked but all the other groups were ON man. Stacks of Marshalls on each side of the stage, hot as hell , Cheap Trick had the light show man, what a day that was,times were crazy then. Everybody was burnt and red as lobsters by shows end .

I enjoyed Steve Dahl when I lived in Flossmoor, a south Chicago suburb 78-80.

I am a surviver of the Disco Demolition at Sox Park, and the rest of his parodies are top notch to me.

I seen Steve Dahl and Teenage Radiation in Pecatonica, Illinois on July 4, 1979, just before Skylab fell to earth.  They opened up a show that included Molly Hatchet, AC/DC and Cheap Trick. Advertised as more than eight hours of rock-n-roll for $12.00. I don't know if I could live through 1979 again.
