Alex agrees to a date with Brian at the Parade of Tall Ships. Brian borrows Lowell's boat for the event. But Brian sinks Lowell's boat. Joe and Brian are then forced into inviting Lowell to stay with them for a while and are surprised at how well Lowell cooks and how eager he is to do the household chores. They enjoy his visit so much that when his insurance check arrives they decide to hang onto it for a little while. But soon the honeymoon comes to an end as Lowell's strict discipline rubs the Hackett's the wrong way. But when they've agreed to boot Lowell out they discover his check is missing. At supper that night, he confronts them with the check. While ironing out the misunderstanding about the check, the brothers and Lowell make peace and they invite him to stay on.

  • @BlendedCow He's just that manly...

  • @WastedPo Yeah I was kind of wondering what happened to his kids.. it was indicated he had a lot... and that his wife Bunny left Lowell AND the kids...

  • Keep Brian out of your house

  • D'AWW! I love Lowell! He's so fuggin' adorable! XD

  • Did anyone ever notice that Lowell grabs the hot pan with his right hand and doesn't get burned?

  • Do they ever show Lowell's boat because it would have been cool if they'd had a party there with everybody that works at Sandpiper and Aeromass plus Helen and Antonio of course.

  • Oh my goodness! Brian has gone for the trifecta!

  • @WastedPo By this episode Lowell is divorced and his kids live in Boston with Bunny

  • To further nitpick, is there ever a mention of Lowell's kids in this episode? I mean, didn't their home get destroyed too?

I remember TAXI, a great show, often had crazy lapses like this. In one episode Elaine had to stay with Bobby because she lost her apartment, with no mention of her kids. And Tony adopted a kid of his own, who is never heard from again, even when Tony is worried over the prospect of having gotten his girlfriend pregnant, or when he went on vacation in the mountains.

  • If he hit a 60 foot cabin cruiser, wouldn't he have to pay for the damage to the cabin cruiser? I love this show more than any sitcom but still, there are always holes.
