My Showreel for 2009. Breakdown of shots:

00:00 00:17
Pipe simulation written in MEL with UI.
Any number of pipes can seek any number of mobile targets while not colliding with obstacles and each other in 3D space.
Targets have a one to many relationship with pipes.
Pipes have attributes such as movement speed, size and frequency that can be set via the UI.

Modelled, rigged, animated and rendered a gibbon swinging through trees using footage as reference.

Modelled, rigged, textured, animated and rendered spider character.

00:42 00:53
Cube simulation written in MEL with UI.
Any number of cubes roll around randomly inside a pen and can be attracted to or repelled from anynumber of mobile targets.
Cubes can be initially placed by the user if desired.

Group Project A Sticky End 2:10s short.
Responsible for scene management and referencing other group members animations and models into a single 1:00s shot.
Modelled, rigged, textured and animated the two foreground characters at 01:02. Animated walk, run,dance and ambient cycles for both these characters to be used in the piece.
Modelled all vegetation and wrote a MEL script to randomly place, them then align them to the slope of the ground.

Modelled, rigged, animated and rendered a gibbon walking along a branch using footage as reference.

01:16 01:28
Video time distortion program written in C++ using ImageMagick.
Designed and built the maquette used.

01:28 01:40
Group Project Monster Embarassment 1:00s short.
Animated first two shots.
Rigged pink and red characters in third shot.
Responsible for 50% of rendering and 50% of compositing over the whole project.
Aided during acquisition of background plates.
Developed a work flow for projecting 3D characters in a 2D manner onto a real wall.

Compositing exercise using externally sourced original plates.
Created in Shake.

01:52 2:12
Tracked first shot in Boujou and created dummy geometry for wall to match the scene in Maya.
Rotoscoped man in shot 4.
