Thanks for this piece, with me being a classical pianist he was one of my inspirations and my favorite jazz pianist, many say Art Tatum was the best but I loved Bud. A man well ahead of his time, too bad as so many great artists before him he had many demons.

very fundamental in the end "they had spirit about them"synthesis of human nature in its truest and genius..it is terrible to think that if he had lived today we perhaps would have had no chance to know only one note of his music.

from what i can understand when high brain functioning occurs and different portions of the brain are stimulated (portions of the brain responsible for motor coordination) these "ticks" can manifest themselves as neurons fire off in those parts of the brain that control those functions as well,.........but what the fuck do i know,...maybe hes just happy....

i read it was from a pill that basically a chemical lobotomy in pill form...it made him chop and chop....sad really...but his brilliance shines through!
