  • dave sounds like hes reading a script, and represents shimano terribly. drop dave and save your repition shimano.

  • Lol fat guy sponsored by subway

  • @LandThatFish Shimano Core is magnesium. I'm talkin carbon fiber.

  • haha, very funny, with the water's clearer and that they invented the metal. I guess he just fished all his life.

  • @BandB1111111 Yeah, unfortunately some people don't do their homework before they say things, it's a fact of life and fishing is fullllll of bullshit and bullshitter(s) lol. However, this reel is actually pretty sweet, i don't own one but i've played with one and took one apart for maintenance and it does appear to have carbon fibre components. They are exceptional as opposed to other competing reel's in the same price range. It's a shame they dont come with a spare spool ARRRGGGHHHH!!!!

  • @jon0g that's the first thing I thought as well on another video with this same rocket scientist! He said it was the same metal used on the Shimano bikes... I doubt there's much carbon in it...maybe 20% stronger than graphite which would make a difference on larger reel bodies but a small reel with 7 lbs of drag? ...can't imagine it would matter much...not $200 worth!

  • you sob putting that into your pocket.

  • @cb7pwn

it should last as long as you are not the ultimate thrasher. I change out a lot of rusted and frozen ARB bearings, use ReelX on the line roller bearings, especially if you do the salt. ARB bearings are not rust proof and cost a lot to replace. as long as the reel feels good to you enjoy it. I just like old school metal made in japan shimano.

  • @jon0g they invented (allegedly) this TYPE of reinforced carbon fiber

  • @paulc43 gtfo lol, i JUST bought a dam ci4 4000 i dont wanna hear this! will it last at least?
