your a complete fucking idiot, if you use that cable, it will be pumping out the incorrect volume of electricity, i did it to mine for a while and in the end it cuts out, plus doing this invalids your warrenty, you could just either 1) not be a scrounger and buy another, or 2) claim on warrenty , duh!

@died40 the amount of energy distributed by the cable does not affect the Mac because you are plugging the cable into the adapter. the adapter then corrects the wattage. This doesn't void your warranty because you are not actually using a different ADAPTER. it is the same adapter. Even if you plug a MacBook Pro charger (80watts) into a MacBook (60watts) or MacBook Air (40watts) the charger will automatically distribute the correct amount of power.
