@capney I worked in G.R.S.F but was given authority to make this video by the Air Ministry. The C.O of Linton at that time was Grp Capt Roy Crompton.

OMG! This reminds me of my youth when I was stationed at RAF Cranwell in 1984!.
This is the ONLY footage that I have found of this sort of subject. Brilliant,well done that man :-)

Very atmospheric of the period. I now own and have fully restored one of the stations TACR-1s (Crash Tender) from this period but sadly I didn't spot in in your wonderful video!

Those were good days. I wish I could turn the clock back to when I was at Linton-on-Ouse. I flew several hours in these aircraft and the Piston Provosts before them.

Wow...a trip down memory lane or what ? I worked on this type of aeroplane (1st and second line) at RAF Cranwell between 1984 and 1988.Thanks for posting this :-)

there was one jet provost about 3 months ago on ebay for £6000! i thoink it because now one is quialified to fly them and the air force doesnt need them anymore!

I was 1st and 2nd line servicing for many years at LInton. Many many thanks for posting.
