  • @capney I worked in G.R.S.F but was given authority to make this video by the Air Ministry. The C.O of Linton at that time was Grp Capt Roy Crompton.

  • Graduated at L-o-Ouse in '71 on Mk3a and Mk5 JP. Your video has reminded me of that time. Thank you so much for posting. Regs M.

  • Brilliant video thank you for uploading.

  • OMG! This reminds me of my youth when I was stationed at RAF Cranwell in 1984!.

This is the ONLY footage that I have found of this sort of subject. Brilliant, well done that man :-)

P.S So impressed that I am going to post a link to this on my website:

    Cheers.Andy

  • Very atmospheric of the period. I now own and have fully restored one of the stations TACR-1s (Crash Tender) from this period but sadly I didn't spot in in your wonderful video!

  • Those were good days. I wish I could turn the clock back to when I was at Linton-on-Ouse. I flew several hours in these aircraft and the Piston Provosts before them.

  • Wow...a trip down memory lane or what ? I worked on this type of aeroplane (1st and second line) at RAF Cranwell between 1984 and 1988.Thanks for posting this :-)
