uctually it's true, all people who lived in Ussr were happy, and only america and others capitalistic contries thought, that we are sad of living in socialism... just imagine: world without jealousy, there everyone has the same possibilities... education is free, acommodation is free, electric power, water and other utility stuff is for free. My grandmother in summers everytime flied to armenia for holiday, it's more than 3000 km, ant ticket was so cheap, that everyone could afford it..

Soviet Union/Russia, whatever products they make is cheap and effective. Gets the job done, without much hype. Proof? Look at the Soyuz Rockets, AK-Series of assault rifles, Sukhoi/Mig Aircrafts, T-70/T-92 Tanks, Advancements in Medicine, Stolichnaya Vodka :-)
