Texas Judge on Trial for Refusing to Hear Appeal Hours Before Death Row Prisoner's Execution

The presiding judge of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals is on trial for misconduct for refusing to hear a last-minute appeal from a death row prisoner scheduled to be executed that night. Judge Sharon Keller, dubbed Sharon Killer by her critics, reportedly denied an appeal from the lawyers for Michael Wayne Richards at 5:20 pm on September 25th, 2007, saying: We close at five. Richards was killed later that night by lethal injection. Keller faces five charges of judicial misconduct and could be removed from the bench.

someties the ability the people to think logically is very impaired especially when they classify everyone they disagree with in a ready made group. that allows them to shut off their brain. i don't support this guy from a whole in the wall. however i do hold a judge at a higher standard and i expect them to hear an apeal even if it is filed 20 mins late. furthermore i find the high proprtion of minority executions in texas very alarming.

All the evidence should be examined before we execute anyone. If we should kill any innocent person through the courts, then we all become murderers. What's wrong with being careful and civilized. We don't want to be animals like Richards was?

Judges are assholes. They think they are better than you and fit to Judge others. They are human just like everyone else and they are no better than any other citizen.

A persons life was taken because a judge had to go home at 5:20 pm to do what?What possibly could be more important than finishing your job when a person or worst a persons life depends on your judgment. One question to ask,would prob be what is the judge still doing at the office at 5:20pm?Just leave go your way like any other job,not stick around until something pops up?White African Asian Latin doesn't matter what race the individual pertained to a life has no price,and apparently no value

We need to eradicate soft on crimminal liberal judges from the bench and replace them with judges like Keller. Liberal judges do not care if you or your loved one are murdered by mutant savage they only care for the rights of these murdering savages
