After a lot of pushing, pulling, and throwing of inanimate objects (pillows, dog toys, and etc.) Paris finally rolled off the couch. I walked over to her and helped her up off the floor.

"Good morning, sunshine." I told her in a rather perky tone of voice, that surprised me as much as it did her.
"UGH! Why are you so happy?! Is it mess with Paris day or something?" she asks, while playfully sticking her tongue out and hugs me.
"Actually, no. It's just the day to go with Allie to get those tickets" I reply to her question.
"That was a rhetorical question, Lucy. Look I know your hair is changing to brown but maybe the natural blond never goes away!" She says with an innocent smile on her face.
"That was mean." I say sticking out my tongue this time. "Go get dressed and I'll make you some pancakes."
"Yay pancakes! Extra syrup, please!" She immediately jumps up and skips to the stairs singing her own little tune.

I walk over to the kitchen and take out the Magical pancake mix. (You gotta' love shake n' bake:)) I turn the warm water knob, on the sink, fill the container, and commence the shaking. Not 10 seconds after I begin, I hear a bang, 'awh shit', and a phone ringing.

"Good Lord!" I say quietly enough so that Paris can't hear. I put down the Shake n' Bake container and rush up stairs. "What the hell did you do now?" I say frustrated. I look down at Paris and notice that she has her phone in one hand and another hand in the sink, which is full of water.

"My phone started ringing while I was curling my hair. I jumped, hand slipped, and I got a slight burn." She says as if it's the simplest thing in the world.
"Paris, just try to be careful. Alright? I really can't drive you to the hospital today. Lemme' see your hand." I say.
"Fine." she says and continues with "Wow, someone's mood went sour quick." She said it low so I wouldnt hear it. Guess what. I did. She puts her hand out and I look at it. She's right. It's a little burn that has the word Conair going backwards on her middle finger. Hahaha what are the odds?

I walk down the stairs and my phone rings. "Hello?"
"Hey Luc. It's Me, Paris. Yeah, I was wondering if you could maybe take Allie to the concert?"
"Awh Paris! Why?" I say in a whiny voice.
"Wait! I thought you were in love Nick Jonas and that's all you could think about! Plus I can't go. My mom says that my hand has to be properly iced." She says in an unsure voice.
"Paris, I told you that my feelings for him have died. And your mom thinks you need to ice your hand for 2 days? The concert is tomorrow night, P. Tomorrow. Why do I have to?"

"Because you love me! Bye! See you soon! Oh and btw something is burning." Click. She hangs up. I sniff and notice she's right again. I look at the stove. Damnit! I guess I put the container of pancake shake n' bake mix on the burner. Guess it's not so magical now is it? Oh, well. Guess the life ruiner is gonna have some poptarts for breakfast. Man, she's gunna make me go to the concert. Today is not starting out well.
