I was inspired by Kiwiwhispers' video about New Zealand, so I decided to make one about the UK! I love this country, so i hope you all like this video :-)
And just for extra brownie points, all the stuff I said about our history was off the top of my head :-)

Let me know what you thought of it!

It has been brought to my attention that I uploaded this on US Independence Day. (I couldn't help but laugh at the irony, sorry.) I did know it was Independence Day but it didn't cross my mind at the time... So, please don't be offended, I swear I didn't purposely upload it, I only realised this afterwards! So I apologise. Please forgive me. God Bless America!

Enjoy!!

  • When you were mentioning names for different amounts of money it reminded me of rhyming slang for different amounts. Five pounds is obviously sometimes called a 'fiver' and the rhyming slang for that is Lady Godiva. 15 pounds is known as a Commodore (which clearly doesn't rhyme) but it's because the band The Commodores wrote a song called Three Times a Lady :)

  • @SusurroQuiete I knew about the fiver, but i didnt know fifteen was a 'commodore', how odd! Twenty five pounds is called a 'pony' for some reason. LOL.

  • @AuroraWhispers Haha, that one made me smile :) And yes...I'm just saying that the US did not single handedly save the UK from the Germans.

  • @Da40cal @GoodWhispers Was? Großbritannien und Amerika gespielt wichtige Teile in den Krieg. Ohne sie wären wir werden jetzt Deutsch sprechen. Oh, Moment mal ....

  • @GoodWhispers Save England from what exactly?

  • @GoodWhispers Of the estimated 70 million deaths attributed to World War II, over 30 million, many of them civilians, died on the Eastern Front. The Eastern Front was decisive in determining the outcome of World War II, eventually serving as the main reason for Germany's defeat. It resulted in the destruction of the Third Reich, the partition of Germany for nearly half a century and the rise of the Soviet Union as a military and industrial superpower.

  • @GoodWhispers The battles on the Eastern Front constituted the largest military confrontation in history. They were characterized by unprecedented ferocity, wholesale destruction, mass deportations, and immense loss of life variously due to combat, starvation, exposure, disease, and massacres. The Eastern Front, as the site of nearly all extermination camps, death marches, ghettos, and the majority of pogroms, was central to the Holocaust.
