It certainly looks the part, but the way Alfa has sneekily introduced GM engine blocks which are made from CAST IRON stinks. This is a car to be parked outside a wine bar...whereas traditional Alfas should be driven.

I'm a former Alfa Spider owner. I had an '85. What a great car! The styling, the gauges, the sound from the engine, the ease of putting the top up/down, your date sitting shoulder to shoulder with you in the cockpit. It appealed to all the senses. The new ones do nothing for me. And at a time when "retro" is in, you'd think Alfa would get on board and release one of their all-time classics with an updated suspension and a few more horses under the hood. This new one is a snoozer.

I'll take the old Spiders any day. I'm an American "Alfisti" who just sold my `90 Veloce because I'm living in China now. But hey, I've still got the memories: beautiful girls, great music, California scenery.
