  • Here's a translation of the words:

    I believe that I am

An oak tree in the rock

Even if a storm shall beat me

    I will overcome it

When I weep, I sew the earth

    Sadness is the soul

    And I am nature.

  • Oops, sorry, forgot the second verse :) Here:

    I believe in mankind

    And in the sky

In the trees, in the ocean

    I exist in them

    As long as I exist

    I will know and remember

    Happiness is a person

    that needs to be touched.

  • Hmm, I wonder what he means when he says sadness is the soul. I mean, his music says to me that he can't mean sadness is life, especially not if he believes in mankind... so I wonder. Is sadness faith? Is sadness the mind/body dichotomy? Perhaps he means an aversion to sadness is the driving force at the root of the individual? I already knew that Avishai was my favorite musician alive today, but I didn't know I wanted to also talk philosophy with him.

  • He don't need no stinking bow!

  • Beautiful lyrics for a beautiful song
