  • Where did you get that setup for your supercharger? And how much did it cost?

  • It's all BDS drive hardware. The blower itself is a stock OEM part I got and changed over myself. I got most of the drive parts at a discount, can't recall what the real prices are now? I think they want $3500 for complete set up? Just blower, no carbs, linkage, etc.

  • i have a 1964 ford Galaxie too it has a 390 big block v8 ive done about 160 in it and beat countless cars if you say i cant do 160 it is a racing engine built by the California custom speed shop ( no nitro) how fast can yours go?

  • It goes fast enough. I'm not stupid enough to go anywhere near 160mph in it.

  • The Road Warrior would be proud to drive that car. Plus, he knows where to get enough gas for it!

  • To get these engines to run requires serious cylinder heads...the Ford heads are pure junk...I know..I fought them for 45 years before a decent head was finally offered...and the rocker arm assemblies...well now...that is another subject...RR

  • old school looks good love them big fords

  • @MrTokeit It's a 4spd. It just has limited traction on street tires.

  • @59Mack maybe some more stall?

  • Nice Car !

  • just how much horse power did you get from this setup?

  • Correction ~ Roadrunners & Camaros!

  • The 390 was not the answer to Ford's high performance effort and they knew it. I had a '68 390 fastback Mustang with a 4-speed (rated @ 325 HP) and regularly got beat by the Dusters & Camaros. When Ford showed up in '69 with the 429 motor powered their Boss Mustang it changed the entire landscape of the streets.

  • Ya, All the late model Fords have the extended skirts too just like the good ol FE's. Great ol motors.
