  • All 345/392's are the exact same physical size, just as the 266/304 is the same. The deck height is taller on 345/392 because of longer stroke, making them noticeably taller and wider. The main difference with them between vehicles is the oil pan, and Intake/exhaust manifolds. Intakes in the big trucks is taller, too and there might be hood clearance issues using them in Scouts. 392's will bolt right in scouts the same way a 345 will. You just have to be sure to use the Scout specific parts. 

  • I was just wondering how it fit. I have a 74 and a 392 with the 345 manifold because I don't think the school bus ones will fit in between the frame rails. Also I'm hope it will bolt up to my 727 torche flight.
