I am pleased to announce that the Hawaii Surf Session Report has obtained permission to use the official video news release (VNR) from this and upcoming contest during the 2006 Vans Triple Crown of Surfing. Unlike typical news coverage which may only show you a few highlights at the tail end of sports....HSSR is going to give you plenty of highlights infact over 98% of the VNR from the Roxy pro, and do it like only HSSR can do it. In this episode you will see Layne Beachley, Bethany Hamilton, megan Abubo, Stephanie Gilmore and Melanie Bartels. Keep an eye out for the upcoming rookie of the year in woemens surfing. No. I have thought about it, I even attempted a pilot. But really T.V. is a nasty biz that costs a lot and I had very little backing and no sponsors. I guess its not "cool enough" or what ever. The show is a one man band kind of thing with my hats off to the the bands, everyday surfers and the surf-daydreamers. But hey it is what it is. I just smile smile smile and keep on making em'. Someday I am gonna shine!
