James Say Something (Second version)

A true rarity. This was the version the band decided not to use on the final "Laid" album. A great listen though. Please note, this is NOT a live version or a mock up, it's a full studio version that was never released.

I bought the single on cassette around 1994 and this was definitely the B side, always preferred this version, The morse code at the beginning actually spells out Say Something, just thought Id mention it..

@eck1997, No, my mate reckoned he was and the beginning and end sounded like morse so I tested him, needless to say he identified it as Say Something, I can't disprove otherwise. I'm glad I brought this to your attention, I bet once you listened to it you realised straight away what it was, not something you expect to hear in a song is it.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, my friend knew morse code, I asked him to interprete the begining as I believed it to be morse, can't remember exactly what he said but as far as I can recal he could not make out the first part but identified the word something in the intro, I never told him the name of the song, interesting to you and I, maybe not so many other's.

I think they played this (or something like this) on their "last tour" in 2000 at the MEN as i remembered the morse code, but think it was just a beat.
