Vote for Particle Wave's Paintings on Shadows at http://www.kexp.org/events/polls/EndOfYearCountdown-2011.aspx for best album. They're good guys.

Painting on Shadows is the second LP from Southern California based-band Particle Wave. Following the success of their 2009 debut, Interference Pattern, Particle Wave expands & evolves their sound while staying true to the unique style fans expect. Timelessly mixed by Chad Bamford (Spiritualized, Weezer), Painting on Shadows also features a guest trumpet appearance from Stewart Cole (Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Mumford & Sons) on 'So Far Away.' Particle Wave delivers Album-Oriented Alternative Indie Rock with strong, melody-driven vocals, leads and harmonies under lush guitar with driving drums and bass in the style of My Morning Jacket, Tame Impala and Pink Floyd. Particle Wave members include Greg Maechling, Brian Arthurs, Chase Harris & Bryce Stoddart. Particle Wave music is availabe on iTunes and Amazon, played on college radio across North America and is streamed on Last.fm, Jango, Spotify and Rhapsody.

Lyrics:
Burning Senses

Know a way
to get you back to it
When you're ready to see
Skip the pain - enjoy reality
You can get there for free

Burning senses can't describe
Burning senses will divide

Realize you're born with everything
Everything that you need
Better not depend on anyone
You don't need faith to believe

Burning senses can't describe
Burning senses will divide

Think about what it takes to live
A truly open life
If the goals to strive for honesty
The question should always be why

When you say,
You want me to
Until you say you,
Need me to
If you say
I will teach you.

And lead you thru
Lead you thru
